Group Meeting 2

 Today was group meeting number 2, and once again it was a great experience!

Andre's idea is about how the media takes over an individual's life. This is all about technology, and we all really liked her idea. There seemed to be no issues until the credit sequences were brought up. Selena quickly came up with the idea of incorporating the credits into the technology. If i where Andre i would certainly use it. Incorporating it in the computer screen or through phone notifications is a really clever idea.

Ethan is doing stop motion. I really like his idea and after looking at his blog, he is working very hard to get this done. I suggested the importance of color and that it is often very overlooked. I have worked with Ethan on previous projects, and I believe he has a very solid understanding of filmmaking. One of the thing i would improve is adding more to the plot.

Camlia's idea is based on a girl whose sister passed away. The film will begin as a flashback in a beach and will incoorperate many special effects like hallucinations. We were all concerned about the film being hard to portray. Portraying that the hand popping up while she is looking at a picture is not reality, or maybe that the beach is a flashback because her sister is dead. She then told us her partner is a good editor and that she is aware that it can be hard to portray. If she can pull this off, I believe the plot and the idea are very good.

Macie's idea is one of the best I've heard. It is about a janitor who finds a magazine of himself from over ten years ago and figures out that time is frozen. She is finished with the filming process, which is very impressive, and I really like the mise-en-scène elements she did. The magazine is a very creative idea, and it was well done. We suggested that she should incorperte back-round music and she will look into it.

Selena's idea is a classic of an innocent girl who is in the forest being haunted by a weird creature. I like this idea, but filming in the dark is very hard, especially with the lighting needed to project this wierd creature. I really like the idea of the messages the mom is sending, but the creative part is that there is no wifi, so the messages will all come at once. This adds suspense due to the lack of wifi.

Isa is doing a girl who is up to no good. The plot is about a popular high school kid who has a mysterious trip she is going on. Now she is seen packing in a rush to leave. She mentioned her concerns about not wanting back-round music to be corny, and I suggested a guitar heavy backround song, and she said she will consider it. I also really like that she is dressing the girl in all black incorperating her knowledge of color schemes.

Last but not least is me. They all really liked our idea and liked the mise-en-scène elements. As far as the CCR goes, I did not have any ideas. Andre was a huge help and suggested I should take advantage of my dad's studio. She mentioned that I should do an interview of the actors and make it a talk show. I will probably do this because I believe we can make it funny.
