The Big Plan!

I am proud to say that my team and I have come up with an idea that is unique, and we are very proud of it. Jalin, Sam, and I were on FaceTime for nearly an hour and a half. The brainstorming process was lengthy but totally worth it.

Our thought process was linked with the resources and locations we had available. We wanted to avoid the issues we had last time regarding filming locations. So we will film at houses and a studio that my dad and his friend own. Since my dad is a sports journalist, he often does podcasts there so the film will have a very cool back round.

We are staying on track with the idea of a doctor being in an uncomfortable position, to say the least. The film will begin with a doctor being interviewed in the podcast studio. Based on the dialogue it will be apparent that this doctor has a legacy and a good reputation. He will confess that the newest medicine he released is mortal, and there has been an issue in the process of making it. He will apologize and confess that those who have taken it have 48 hours to live. He will be devastated and this will obviously not be taken lightly. As he is talking, there will be middle-aged women listening to the podcast, working out, cooking, and even taking the medicine while listening to him break this tragic news. The woman will be star-struck. If it does not feel very rushed, we even plan on incorporating a voicemail of one of the woman saying her last goodbyes to a loved one.

There will be visuals of the medicine being made, and we plan on creating it by conducting a chemical reaction with water  to add suspense and a neat visual. I will talk with my chemistry teacher for ideas on what we can do for the visual effect. My estimate is a 150 word dialogue. We plan on using copy right free back round music to add intensity.

As far as actors go, my dad will likely be the doctor. The middle-aged women are going to be my group members, moms, and some of their friends. I will likely be editing, and Jalin and Sam will be focusing on costume designs and camerawork. One of my good friends' moms is a doctor, so we may be able to get a doctor's suit in the case of any last minute changes. Today we will get class time to work on this project, so we will use it to wright the script. I am looking forward to what my teacher will say about this new and improved idea, and we are very open to feedback and constructive criticism.

Now that we have an idea set in stone, i look forward to begin producing as soon as possible. Excitement would be a big understatement to express how I‘m feeling. I strongly believe this will be executed at a high level, and i can assure that i will give it everything i have in me. I strongly believe that success comes from hard work, as my favorite saying is "hard work beats talent when talent does not work hard." I will live by this saying throughout this entire process.

This is us after finally settling on an idea
