So yesterday, we encountered our first roadblock. I am sad but certainly not surprised because obstacles like this one are expected to happen. Thankfully, my hardworking team and i where well prepared and up to schedule, so this was an easy fix. Originally, we scheduled to film yesterday and that did not happen. Sam's dad came back home from work late, and he was a crucial piece in for filming. My dad was not available until 9 PM today, so we decided to film tomorrow. For tomorrow's shots, we do not need any parents, so it is just my team and I.
Frankly, going into class today i was very frustrated that we where behind on filming so after a profound lesson on how to do a CCR, my team and i had roughly 30 minutes to work on our portfolio projects. I was determined to get something done, so we began brainstorming on how we would introduce our production logo. After Sam found a website with templates, we immediately got to work. Many of the websites we attempted to use required a pricey subscription so it took a lot longer than we had originally expected to find a good template that was free to use.
After further research, I hit the jackpot. Canva has free templates without a watermark. Thankfully Canva is very user-friendly, so the process took no longer than 20 minutes. I set the chore ideas down I layered the music, smoke, and logo. The key touch was adjusting the transparency. Since our logo is light blue, it looked very awkward layered over a black screen. I tried adjusting the saturation and brightness, but nothing satisfied me. After playing around with the transparency i quickly settled for 36.
You may be asking about the font, letters, or even the title. In class i learned Jalin researched all about fonts and titles, so he will be taking care of the font for the logo introduction and the credit scenes. Although we had a minor setback, my team and I will certainly make up for it tomorrow.
