Group Meeting #1

Today was my first group meeting, and things went very well. My team and i collaborated very effictevly and we where all giving feedback constantly. We each got time to speak about our video ideas for around 10 minutes. There was never a stale moment in the meeting. What i liked is that everybody got in-depth opinions on their projects and they where honest ones. In fact, i think everybody changed something about their project thanks to constructive criticism received by our peers. One that certanley stood out to me was when my partner Catalina told Jake about a near by park they could film at instead of the park that was 30 minutes away. I also really liked Isa's insight. She mentioned both Marat's and Ella's film openings felt rushed and offered ways to cut them down. This led to both of them making changes, and frankly, the changes felt like they were positive.

My favorite part about the meeting was when I suggested an idea to ella about what she could do for her credits. The catch is that she is doing an animated art film opening, and I honestly don't know much about it. I suggested a fairly unrealistic idea, and my whole group laughed, including my teacher, Mrs. Stoklosa. This was a learning moment for me, and I find her idea of making an animated intro very cool.

As far as my feedback goes I think my group and my group might reconsider our idea. What we had originally planned was doctors medicine being laced by a random, killing a very important person. The location of the filming and the structure of the film were issues that were brought up. Where was it going to be filmed? truthfully we do not have an answer to that question yet. How would it be structured? The film's opening would start off as an interrogation, but we will have to further elaborate on that idea. Sam told me did not receive the best feedback, and many suggested changing the idea. Jalin was not at school today. Honestly, we still have a long way to go in having a concrete idea, and the time is ticking down. me, Sam, Jalin will hopefully meet tommrow to set up a final deccsion and we get to work. Regardless of what happens, I am sure we will have a very good idea with high execution.

I believe this group meeting was very helpful. I went into the meeting with an open mind, and it was worth it. I got a lot out of the meeting because of the different perspectives i recieved, and it opened my eyes to some issues my team and i where not paying attention to. I am looking forward to the next group meeting and coming away with better results as far as my project goes. 10/10 experience.
